Light head winds aiid fine weather prevailed during the passage. Left Hokitika early yesterday moriiing, a^d arrived off the Grey at 8 a.m., when sh,e w^s tendered by Persevere. \ We {ire informed by Messrs Spence Bro?., that the steam-tug Southland has at last left the resting-place she so iong pecupied at lnvercargill, and under . the command of Captyju Kirkpatrick. arrived at Dunediu on Wednesday last. f She was placed on the slip pn Saturday, and it was expected 1 that her overhau} wplrid b.e oon^plctetl by^ the middle of this week. If so, she Avill leave for Hoki-j f ika on or Monday next, and ' barring coutingcjicics,' will probably reach her future head-quarters sometime during the ensuing Thursday. -W. G. Times.
