Mr Hast said that he had a few hints to lay before the Council for the consideration of the Government during the recess. The first was that the property tax should extend to all property above and beyond £SOO in value. That bills of sale should express on their face the amount of money advanced. That in the event of bankruptcy or arrangement of creditors generally by the giver, within three months of filing, the bill of sale should be goad as against other creditors only for the sum so expressed, the donor of the bill of sale being at liberty to prove for the earn which would otherwise be secured by the bill of sale. That all Crown grantees of land should have a right of possession by ejectment if necessary. HOUSE OE REPRESENTATIVES. Friday, Sbpthmbbb 15. The House met at 3 p.m. APPROPRIATION BIEL. The Spbakbb announced that he had waited upon the Governor with the two Appropriation Acts, which had been assented to. At 8.30, the House was summoned to attend the Council for Prorogation. THB PBOBOGATION. At 3 SO, the Commissioners, Sir W. Pitsherbert, Hon. P. Whitaker, and Sir G. Whitmore, took their seats, and the Commission being read, they adjourned Parliament ontil Thursday, December 14 th.
