DrownedA telegram from Havelock reports that Peter Gorrig was drowned in a creek at tho foot of Totara Hill, on the way to Nelson, on Saturday night. Tho body has been recovered, DUNEDIN, June 20. Fire. A fife occurred in the upper part of Mr Gilchrist’s paparhanging shop. He estimates his loss, through damage by water, at £IOOO, The property was insured for £SOOO in the National, Victoria, Standard, South British and New Zealand offices. Inqnest. At the inquest on Ootterill, a verdict of temporary insanity was returned.
