The Annie Bow left Newcastle for Timaru on Jane 2nd. The barque Island City left Newcastle for this port on June 4th. The s.s. Akaroa returned from her second pleasure cruise yesterday morning. The s.s. Jane Douglas arrived on Wednesday night from ICaikoura, and left on the return tap lost evening. The Union Steamship Company’s s.s.Botorua from Melbourne arrived yesterday at 11 a.m., and left last night for Northern ports. The Union Steamship Company’s s.s. Hawea arrived yesterday from Wellington, and left at 11 a.m. for Akaroa and Dunedin. THE LUBLINE. The barque Lurline, one of the home trading vessels registered at this port, arrived; as briefly reported yesterday, on Wednesday night. It is about two years since the Lurline was in these waters, her last voyage having been mode to Dunedin. She has ocme into port, however, if anything in finer order than upon her last visit, the highest compliment that can be paid her worthy commander. Captain Adair, and his officers. Her cargo is a general one, comprising altogether about 1400 tons weight and measurement. She brought no passengers, and her voyage of ninety-seven days was in every way an uneventful one. Captain Adair has supplied the following report of it:—Left the S.W. India Docks March 9th; next day left Gravesend. On the 14th cleared the Channel, and six days later was off Madeira; passed Palma on the 24tb, and took the N.E. trades, which proved moderate to 5 N. 22 W., where they gave out. Here exchanged signals with the Jerusalem, White Star Liner, bound to Sydney. Crossed the Equator on April 10th, and carried S.E. light and moderate trades to ' 30 S. and 30 W. Crossed the meridian of the Cape of Good Hope on the Bth of May. It was blowing a gale from the W.S.W. at the time, thundering and lightning, A sea broke over the poop, carrying with it overboard the masthead compass. The chief officer, on the poop at the time, sustained some injuries, and narrowly escaped with his life. Crossed the meridian of the Lewin in 44 South on June Ist, that of Tasmania on the 9th, and made the Snares on the 13tb inst., since which variable moderate weather was experienced. The vessel was berthed yesterday afternoon at the Gladstone Pier, and her entry at the Customs duly made by the New Zealand Shipping ■Company. SHIPPING TBLEGEAMS. Port Chalmers, June 16.
