[EEUTEB r 8 TELEGRAMS.] LONDON, April 28. Irish Land Bill. The Catholic Hierarchy in Ireland demand material alterations in the Irish Land Bill now before Parliament. They denounce the provisions of the measure generally, but particularly the clauses providing for grants to facilitate emigration. In the House ol Commons to-day, the Irish Land Bill was again under consideration, but • the debate was further adjourned. April 29. Consols remain at 1015. Now Zealand securities are at last quotations Now Zealand live per cent. 10-40 Loan lOlvj ; 5 per cent., 1889, Loan, 100 ; 4J per cent., 1879-1904, Loan, 101. Adelaide wheat, ox warehouse, is unchanged at 495. Adelaide Hour remains at 345, o;i warehouse, and Now Zealand wheat, os ship, at 455. The total quantity ol wheat nlloat for Great Britain is 2,290,000 quarters. Australian bosl mutton tallow has declined to 36s ; bosl beef remains at 34s per cwt. The Bight Hon. W. E. Gladstone hat given notice in the Houso of Commons that ho will, on Monday next, ask for leave to introduce a Bill to amend th( form of the oath of allegiance to be taker by members. April 30. I The Radical members of the House of 1 Commons are strongly opposed to the 1 proposal to be made shortly by tho Pi omier that funds be voted for the erection of a monument to the late Earl Beaconsfield in Westminster Abboy. Trickett to the FrontA second sculling match took placo between Edward Trickett and tho oarsman Kirby, resulting in another easy victory for Trickett. CAPETOWN, April 28. The Boers News has been received from the Transvaal to the effect that the relations between the Boers and Natives are of a very unsatisfactory charactor, and it is feared that trouble will arise between them. April 30. Sir Hercules's TactNews has been received from Basutoland that the mediation of Sir Hercules Robinson, with a view to briug about a settlement of the difficulties of that country has boon successful. The Basuto chiefs have now agreed to the proposals for peace which were submitted by His Excellency,* and hostilities between the Cape forces and tho Basutos have now finally ceased.
