Mails close at the C hief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under; — SATURDAY, JANUARY 17.
For Chatham Islands, per Omaha, at 10 a.m.; guard’s van, 10 30 a.m. train. For Aksroa and Otago, per Penguin, at 11.15 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.25 a.m.; guard’s van 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Hawev, at 7 p.m., The guar<Ps_yan_mu3t not be usedfor this mail
TUESDAY, JANUARY 20. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Botorna.
The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will close at Christchurch on January 31st, and will be dne in London on March 16th.
The next mail for the United Kingdom, via Suez, will be closed at Christchurch on February 12th, and will be due in London on April Ist.
