CRICKET.
MUFFS t. PUBLICANS.
A match was played on the U O.C. ground to-day between a team selected from the Christohuroh Muff Cricket Club and one from the local publicans. The former were captained by Mr Dunbar and the latter by Mr Hirst. The Muffs won the toss, and elected to handle the willow first. The bowling of the publicans was too good for any long scores, the only two Muffs getting double figures being W. S. King, 33, and Judge, 22. The first innings of the Muffs closed for 75, three of which woro extras. The Publicans then took the field, and up to the hour of adjournment for lunch, at 1.30 p.m., had made 52 runs with five wickets down.
