Mails close at the Chief Post Offloe tor the ollowing plaoeß as under, iubjeot to the necessary titrations : SATURDAY, MAY 3. For Wanganui, per St. Kilda, at 11.15 a.m.,; lato fee letters, 11.30 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Akaroa and Otago, per Ladybird, at 11.15 a.m.; late foe letters, 11.30 a.m.jguard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 6.30 p.m.; late letter box guard's van, must not bo used for this mail. MONDAY, MAY 5. For the United Kingdom, &c, per Stad Haarlem, as follows : Ordinary letters, at noon. Late fee letters, at 12.30 p.m. Books and newspapers, at 11 a.m. Money orders, at 10.30 a.m. Guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will be closed at Christchurch on May sth. The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on Juno 30th, and tho mail via Southampton on July 7th.
