Mails close at the Chlet Post Office tor the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations FRIDAY, MAY 2. Per Wanganui, per St. Kilda, at 4.45 p.m, SATURDAY, MAY 3. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 6.30 p.m.; late letter box guard’s van, most not bo used for this mail. For Akaroa and Otago, per ladybird, at 1.50 p.m.j late fee letters, 2.10 p.m.; guard’s Van, 2.40 ji.m. tram. ... ■ For the United Kingdom, Ac., per Stad Haarlem, as follows : . Ordinary, letters, at 9 a.m. Late fee letters, at 9.45 a.m. Books and newspapers, at 8.30 a.m. Registered letters, ats p.m., Friday, May 2nd. Money orders, at 4 p.m., Friday, May 2nd. Guard’s van, 10.30 a.m. train. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will be closed at Christchurbh on May sth. The mail via Brindisi will be due in London on Jnuo 30th, and the mail via Southampton on July 7th.
