Miller, charged with fraudulently obtaining goods, his Honor directed the jury to • find a verdict of not guilty, as the goods were' . obtained a few minutes after he had filed, while the Act provided only for within four months, before the declaration of insolvency. Jas. Morgan pleaded guilty to forgery, l and' and sentence was deferred. In consequence of Ward's resignation, Gordom was appointed deputy-registrar. T. L. He was conveyed to the Hospital, and the leg was amputated. W. H. Kisling, solicitor, aged 31, died last evening of typhoid fever. Deceased was a native of the colony, and a brother to the > manager of the Bank cf New Zealand.
