Tui, s.s., 61 tons, Wills, for Wellington, Kaikoura, and Poston. Cuff and Graham, agents. The schooner Saxon arrived this morning from Auckland with a cargo of timber consigned to Mr J, Goss. The steamer Ladybird, Captain Garrard, arrived yesterday, at ten o’clock in the morning, from Wellington, after a run of nineteen hours and a half. She brought lifteen passengers, and left for Timaru and Port Chalmers at five o’clock last evening. The A 1 clipper barque Mary Blair was to leave Hobart Town, for Lyttelton, on the 30th ult. Captain Kiddle commands her. The brigantine Annie sailed from Hobart Town, for Lyttelton, the same day as the barque Huntress, which arrived here yesterday. The barque Acacia took her departure from Hobart Town, for this port, on the 26th ult. Her cargo consists of 54,000 ft. timber, 26,000 palings, 180,000 shingles, and 20 pairs of shafts, for Lyttelton ; besides 30,000 ft. timber for the Bluff. The steamers Tararua and Ladybird were unable to get away yesterday until several hours after the advertised time, the first-named being detained for the mails, and the Ladybird for cargo. The Tararua left at 8.30, and the Ladybird at half-past seven. The Australian Sovereign, barque, hence for Newcastle, on the 28th November, arrived on the 21st ult. The Union steamer Wanaka did not leave Wellington until midnight, for Lyttelton, and will, therefore, not bo hero until six o’clock to-night. She will be despatched to Port Chalmers two hours after arrival. The brigantine Cleopatra cleared a-t the Customs, yesterday, for Greymouth; the Lizzie Guy, for Hokitika; the barque Southern Cross, for Newcastle; Wave, for Kaipara. The barquentine Hopefnl arrived last evening from the Bluff, with a cargo of timber. She left there on Tuesday last, and experienced light easterly and S. W. winds along the coast. The Florinda arrived last evening, from HalfMoon Bay, with a cargo of timber. The Liuiou Steamship Company’s steamer Tararua, Captain Sinclair, arrived directly after ten o’clock yesterday morning from Melbourne via Hobart Town, the Bluff, and Port Chalmers. She left Melbourne on the 24th at 3.55 p.m.; arrived at Hobart Town at 3 p.m. on the 26th ; left on the 27th at 4.15 p.m., and experienced rough weather across. The Bluff was made at 10 a.m., December 31st, whence she sailed at 5 p m. for Port Chalmers; arrived at 6 a.m. on New Year’s Day, and sailed same day at half-past 4, the weather on the coast keeping flue to arrival. She brought thirty-four passengers from Melbourne and the coast for here, booked eighteen as per memoranda above, and left left for the north and Sydney at 8.30 p.m., taking with her the mails for Europe via San Francisco.
