Mails close at tho Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : TUESDAY, APRIL 16. For Otngo, overland, at 11 a.m. For Otago, per Wanaka, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m. ; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. For Wellington aud Nelson, per Alhambra, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10p,m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. train. For .Northern Ports of New Zealand, Brisbane and Sydney, per Taupo, at 3 p.m.; late letters, ;j.20 p.m.; railway station,4p.m. train, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17. For Kaikonra aud Wellington, per Tui, at 4.45 P.m. Late letter box guard's van must not be used tor Tui's mails. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
