The New Zealand national surf championships opened at. Lyall 13iay on Saturday in a strong cold southerly and concluded yesterday. The Minister for Education, the Hon. P. Eraser, officially opened the programme. Now Zealand four: Man alarm champion, final: Maranui 1, Taylor* Mistake 2. *

Miller, being a member of the’ Australian team, cannot claim t-h ? title, which goes to Dalton.
