EAST COAST REGATTA. POVERTY RAY GAINS MELD AND COLLEY AND KIRK SHIELDS. NAPIER RETAINS L.V.A. SHIELD. ■ (Press Association) NAPIER, Feb. 13. At the rowing regatta, Poverty Bay annexed the Neild Shield in the single sculls, and Colley and KirkShield in the double sculls. The-results were:— Senior Doubles.—-One and a half miles: Poverty Bay 1, Gisborne 2. Won by two. and a half lengths.. Singles.—'Ten stone. One mile: Wairoa 1, Poverty Bay 2. Gisborne 3. Won by two lengths and one and a half lengths.
Youths’ Doubles.—One mile:-Pov-erty Bay 1, Wairoa 2.. Gisborne 3. Won by one and a quarter lengths. Junior Singles.—One and a quarter miles: Wairoa 1, Gisborne 2, Poverty Bay 3. Wen by half a len/ith and six lengths. Teu Stone Doubles.—One mile: Poverty Bay 1, Gisborne 2, Wairoa 3. Won by one length and three quarters of a length.
Senior Sincles.—One and a half miles: Poverty Bay 1, Gisborne Won by one and a half lengths.
Junior Doubles. —One anil a. quarter miles: Poverty. Bay J. Wairoa 2. Gisborne 3. Won by ten lengths and two and a half lengths. Youths’ Singles.—One mile: Poverty Bay 1, Wairoa 2. Gisborne Won by two and a hall' lengths and three lengths.
