DAVIS CUP
NEW ZEALAND’S STRONGEST
RIVALS
In the. European Zone twenty-two nations have entered for the Davis Cup. From the published draw New Zealand appears to be in the bottom half where tho strongest countries are -South Africa, Jugo-Slavia, France and Oz e olio -S1 o v alii a. The draw which is made without seeding . comes out qucerly with most of the weight in the lower half. New Zealand will probably be again represented by Malfrov, Stedmnn and Andrews' who reside in England. It is a pity we cannot —like Australia—afford to send borne a team from our oWn shores. A visit to
Europe by Coomba, Bedford, Brown and Aligns would have very beneficial results.
