POVERTY BAY PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE ,Tho Poverty Bay provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union held its 'monthly meeting yesterday when there were present: Mr F. S. Bowen, in the chair, and Messrs J. C. Field, IT. Bull, T. E, Tones, ,T. E. Innos, I). J. Gumming, T. W. Sewell, J. E. Brosnalian, and IT. ITS'hank's, and P. W. Classman. After discussion on the matter of travelling stock penults from the Coast, it was urged that the cattle tick regulations should he tightened up. It was decided to refer the matter to the inspector of stock. Mr Field moved that the 121 per cent...allowance on county rates should be continued, as farmers had much leeway to make up. Ho suggested that the practice should bo carried on for at least another season or two. Mr Mossman. seconded the motion. ' The >socertary stated that a similar remit was to be brought before tue Counties’ Association. It was decided to bring the matter under the n'.fice of the Cook County Council, and to endorse the remit to the Counties’ Conference.
