LADIES’ REP. MATCH TO-DAY. HAWKE'S BAY v. POVERTY BAY. , The second annual match between lady cricketers of Hawke’s Bay and Poverty Bay will take place at the Oval this afternoon. The first match was played at Napier last year. Poverty Bay made ’2OO runs for the loss of only three - wickets and Hawke’s Bay replied with 1-1 and 54 runs in their two innings. In this game Miss G. Mortimer scored 112 runs for Poverty Bay . and Misses G. Mortimer and D. Sim proved the most successful of the bowlers. , This year, however, Hawke’s Bay is reported to. have a. strong team and Poverty Bay will be without the services of their two star players owing to their having left the district.
