CONCLUDING DAY TO-DAY. The summer meeting of the? Poverty Bay Turf Club will bo drawn to a conclusion on the Makaraka Domain to-day, when a record attendance is anticipated as the day is a general half-holiday and money is more plentfinl at present- than for years past. Seven events figure on the card, the first race, the Second Hurdles being sei down for 12.30 p.m. Good acceptances have Leon received, twelve baring accepted for the Cook Hack, eleven for tho Trial Handicap, nine for the principal event of the day, ihc Tuianga Stakes and ten for Iho- Hack Cup. Tho public, as usual, will be well catered for in the matter of transport, ns buses and taxis will run to the course from' an early hour. At- a- meetingv of the committee of tho Dunedin Jockey Club, held n-t Wingatui to-day, before the running of the Dunedin Cup, Air P. T. Hogan. when called upon under rule 241, made declaration that he was the solo owner of the mare Queen of Song and that no other person; or persons were interested, either dieetly or indirectly, in the horse or its stake earnings.

Air Hogan undertook to furnish what proof he had that his declai- - tion was true in every particular, and the committee then adjourned till March- 4 to hear his evidence-.
