A.O.F. DELEGATES LEAVE

GISBORNE

After holding a. most successful conference, in Gisborne, the majority +he delegates to the triennial conference of the Wellington district of tho Ancient Order of Oddfellows left for their homes yesterday, ('several o.f the visitors ha.ve their own cars with them and intend to visit the Coast and scenic spots in Poverty Bay before returning home. On Thursday lrght the delegates, were entertained at the Masonic Hall: at which the visitors took the opportunity of again congratulating Court William Gladstone on the success of the arrangements made for their entertainment. Dcbgatc-s also spoke,of the hospitality extended to them during their stay.

Before leaving yesterday morning the district secretary, Bio. A. W. 0. Travers, sent telegrams of appreo/ation and thanks to various persons and organisations for their kindness, including the Mayor, .Mr D. W. Coleman, M.P., the Poverty Bay Turf Club, for the invitaion to attend the race meeting, Court William Gladstone, for the complete, arrangements made for the stay of the delegates in Gisborne, and to the proprietors of Le Grand Cafe, congratulating them on tho excellence of the preparations made for the function on "Wednesday night.
