The monthly sitting of the Ituatoria Police Court was hc-ld last week before Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M. Samuel Te Whatu, charged with unlawfully converting to his own use a horse owned by Mangu Beattie, "as fined £2 and costs.

Four men, Johnny Taiapa, late of Ycilington, Wi Taiapa and Ra Paenga, Tikitiki, and Paul Aupouri, Er.atoria ,were all charged with disturbing a public entertainment. Paenga pleaded not guilty and was ordered to pay costs amounting to 15s. The others pleaded guilty. Wi Taiapa being fined £l, costs £1 15s; Johnny Taiapa £1 and costs £1 14s -3d, and .Vupc-uri 10s and costs £1 14s 3d. On a further charge of using obscene language in the Tikitiki picture theatre, Johnny Taiapa was fined £5 and costs £2 3s 6d.

Charged with the theft of limber valued at £2, the property of Pare Wharenga Raroa, a Maori, named Pani Tautuhi. was' convicted, and fined £2, ordered to make restitution to the amount cf £l, and pay costs 15s. Johnny Anaru, charged with delivering possession of a. firearm to Taw'nai Waenga without a- permit to do so, was convicted and fined 10s and costs 255.

Charles Waenga, of Potaka, charged with operating at Hicks Bay a motor vehicle not efficiently equipped with brakes, was convicted and fined £l. and costs 255.
