SUMMARY AND FORECAST. (Press Association!. . WELLINGTON, July 21. A, rather intense anti-cyclone covers the North Tasman Sea <a.nd extends across southern New Zealand. A depression is still located east of the North Island but is parsing slowly away. —Forecast— . Winds: Light and variable south of Farewell. Spit, and Kaiikonra; with northerlies predominating; elsewhere moderate to strong southerly, still reaching gale force at places, but decreasing gradually. Seas (N.Z. waters)’: Lather rough north of East Cape and rough to high, but decreasing to-morrow; elsewhere. north of Farewell Spit and Etnikonra; slight'to modevsite, thehce southwards. Eastern Tasman Sea: Fresh but decreasing south-west, winds in the northern portion, with a considerable swell; moderate westerlies and modcr ate 1 seas in the southern portion. —-Weather- ■ r Still chinhgeablo and squally in the North Island and the north-cast portion of the South Island, with passing showers, but improving shortly; elsewhere, fair to. line; • temperatures, cold with sharp inland frosts.
