Mrs Dyinock of the Puli a W.T., sent Porouranga a doll (peace doll'; to be dressed as a Maori woman. This caused a. great deal of excitement * amongst members and it is hoped that good attempts will be made to 1 dress this doll up in the Maori costume. The motto for' the day was: “A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed”. In tho needlework section, a, knitted beret and .scarf, Mrs D. Hughes came first, Mrs Sherriff second, and Mr.s Matalnuku third.
