In I,ho Magistrate's Court yesterday I lie bearing was continued before Mr E. L. Walton, S.M.. of the civil claim in which Angus Richard Nicholson (Mr L. T. Hu maid) claimed from Daniel Francis O’Rourke (Mr J. s. Wauehop) the sum of £4O 12-s special, damages and £SO general damages for injures received in an assault at the Ngatapa hall on March 28. After numerous witnesses had been heard, for both parties, the magistrate- gave judgment for the full amount of the special damages, £4O 12s, and £25 general damages, a total of £7l 12s, with coUs amounting to £ll JCs.
