. Ames has suffered a recurrence, of muscular rheumatism, wh'ch caused his retirement in the middle of his iunfugs in the fifth test- against Australia in 1934. It is now preventing his rc-appenranee- in comity cricket, and Ft. is feared that it has spoiled his chances of selection for tho Australian tour.-—P.A.
A Sydney P.A. cable states that W. A. Brown, the Australian cricketer, is moving to Queensland where, for the next three years, he will he associated with a Brisbane motor firm. He will become coach o p tho local cricketers.
