NOTES AND NEWS. The English Boxing Board of Control has suspended Jeff Dickson indefinitely without explanation. Dickson, lor nii-my years, was one of (he biggest boxing promoters in Britain. According to the Daily Mail, the suspension followed the New Zealand or Maurice Strickland’s complaint alleging non-payment of £25 due to him as forfeit lor m match arranged, but not staged between himself and the Finnish heavyweight Gunner Barlund.—P.A.
