POPE DENOUNCES “REDS.”
UNION OF TRUTH AND FALSEHOOD VATICAN CITY,, June 1. A vigorous denunciation of Communism by Pope Pi us XI. on his 70th birthday was given delegates of Catholic action .societies in 22 nations who began their homeward journeys to-day. “Guard yourselves against the dangers and . insidiouisness of Communism”,' s-kicl the' Pontiff,' ‘‘against those who are false prophets, dreaming of an impossible union-Mi union of truth with ‘falsehood. “There have come upon us false teachers and false , prophets”, the Pope declared,, “who under diverse names, under the pretext of common good on contrary thinking, are preparing worse "ills for ris, a compr'omise between truth and falsehood, saintliness and sin, the reign of the devil arid the reign of God.” -
