Winds: West to south-west prevailing north of Kawhin and Gisborne; cisswhcre south-east to southerly, force moderate to strong generally, and rising to gale force at times in tlie far north.
Seas (New Zealand waters) : Rough north of Kawln'a and in all the Cook Strait area, moderate on the west coast of the South Island, and about Fovcaux Strait; elsewhere moderate to rather rough. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong southwesterly winds and rough seas in the northern portion ,moderate ,to fresh southerlies and moderate . to rather rough' seas in the southern portion.
