THEATRES, CHURCHES, AND OTHER STRUCTURES SEATING CAPACITY Some interesting figures showing the seating capacity of the various publio buildings, theatres, churches, etc., in Gisborne were presented to the Borough Council last evening by the building inspector, Mr L. W. Pattense, who. reported making liis. annual inspection, in company with the fire superintendent, of public buildings, places of amusement, etc., and' recommended that the seating accommodation should not exceed the figures, stated below: — -—Theatres—- . Majestic Theatre: Dress Circle 4CO ground floor 610, total 1010. Regent Theatre: Dress circle 379, ground floor 629—total, 1108. Opera House: Dress circle 302, ground floor 679 —total 981. King’s Theatre: 758. —Churches, Schoolrooms, • etc.— Holy Trinity Church 600. St. Andrew’s 1 Church 528, Catholic Church 350, Methodist Church* 285, Baptist Church 250, Salvation Army 250, Masonic Hall 200, Seventh Day Adventist Church 200, Victoria Hall, Grey Street 160'.
