The Danzig correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says that anxiety is growing after the death of a Nazi during a fight when Nazis attempted to break up the opposition at a political meeting. Over 50 persons were, injured in the disturbance. Herr Foerster, the Nazi leader and virtual political dictator in Danzig, has issued a ■ proclamation blaming the opposition leaders whom he says he is obliged to tolerate under the international statute. He added, speaking as though Germany’s might is behind him, that he will not permit Germans in Danzig to be stirred up by “those corrupters of the people. ” 110 continues: “Oun Fuhrer shall be installed. Wo will ruthlessly oppose opposition terrorism, and will not allow ourselves to he attacked. The lives of our men, fighting lor honest aims and high ideals of a great and free Germany, are more valuable than those of treacherous, subversive agitators, who know no Fatherland.” , ■ The opposition points out that they cannot, have established terror: as the Nazi possess all the power and also control the police and their own uniformed organisations.
