Over 150 applications have been received in Gisborne by the Television Film Company, Limited, for screen tests and as the applicants are still coming forward in large numbers a total of 300'” is expected. Th'o first to undergo the tests were Ml*. J. "Wilkie and Miss B. Miller. These two were put through for a test to assure the cinematographer, Mr. L>?e lf.il 1, and the sound recordist, Mr. Max 'iovoy. that their appartus was in good work iiig order. Arrangements were made with Mr. E. T. Doddrell, jun., to develop tliese test strips, and they were projected on to a screen at a-local theatre before any more film was cx-‘ posed. . The tests proved highly satisfactory, .it was stated.
