The condition of the Hon. W. M. Hughes, who was injur:r] in a plane accident yesterday, i;; satisfactory. “if I had been a betting man, 1 would cheerfully have given odds at 50 to 1 against our getting down safe ]y,” ho observed in tin interview today.
Mr. Hughes, who is now 72 year* old, insisted on rating a thrr-c----courrc meal and in reading a news paper before allowing a doctor to attend his fractured collarbone.
