(Special to the Times), At the monthly meeting on (Wednesday, the chair was taken by Mrs l,ee. ‘ How to Exterminate Posts’' was well rrsporicl <1 to, and many useful hints were given. A competition,- ‘‘Coat Hanger", hr-might forth a display of .many dainty ones and made it mt-hcr difficult to judge. Mosdames Leo and Williams tied for first place. The hostesses were Mcsdainea Niu-jie and Larsen. FAREWELL PARTY.. On Thursday afternoon Mrs. J. J Anderson was the gue-st of honor at >. n, farewell party given by membem ol It, ho Waipiro Bay Institute in the li hrary, which had hen artistically d eorated with masses of lovely green foliage and golden chrysanthemums, a fiie completing a warm and co.-y at-, mosphere. Two very amusing compel ition, arranged by Mesdarnes -Nurs-' and. Lee, drew fori.li much merrimentThe winners of No. 1 were .Mesdarnes I’crgu-um 1, Colebrook 2, and ol No. '2 competition Mesdarms Maqdonndl I, Ooehmok 2. Each received a dainty gift. On behalf of the members, M's. Williams sen., presented Mrs. Anderson with a coffee pot. expressing regret at the toss sustained by the institute of such a valued member. She wished her every success and happiness. Airs.
