McKenzie) on a visit to Cook Hospital Fa no ; tlic board decided yesterday to spend £9OO on the improvements suggested. The inspector stated that he laid made an inspection dr the milking shed and dairy plant and found that conditions were most insanitary. The present plhnt has been in continuous use for nine yeans and has given good service; (2) an order has been placed for the supply of a ''Speedway” steam sterilising plant nt a-cost of £lB 10s, with a capacity sirtabb for requirements; (3) in the meantime, the present electric waten heater to remain in the shed, the remove. I ol litis to be decided upon at a later data; (4) that concrete walls as laid down in the dairy regulations, be built on the lines suggested lj y the Dairy Inspector. The estimated f*nst of this concrete work is £36. Agreed that Mr. J. T. Morgan be employed to do this by day labour, under the supervision of the hoard’s engineer and farm manage*"; (5) that dummy partitions he altered in the manner suggested by Mr. McKenzie; (6) that the manure sump be removed to distance of 30ft. from the shed. That the present sump be filled in and recovered. The new sump to be built in the manner agreed upon; (7) that a troiiy or conveyance tor the disposal oi manure be made; (8) that a pair ol concrete tubs be supplied tor the shed to replace the present one, and. in .addition, a pair oY tubs be supplied for the house; (9) that the water troughs indicated be rclined with galvanised iron and pain tea with a bitumastie paint; that necessary pipe line to troughs in new positions be laidi; thfvt the troughs at present leaking receive necessary attention ; (1-0) that the implements at present stored in the lean-to at the rear be the separator room be removed to the car shod; (11) that the front shed will, wooden floor be removed to the position agreed upon and that the housing of pigs be provided for nearer the milking sheds.
