Arising out o' tlio disturbance that occurred outside Hie prison on May 12 on tho occasion ol the execution of Puck ltuxton for tho murder of his wife, Madame Van Dor Elst, who has been noted for her activities in opposition to capital punishment, was today fined £3 for failing to stop her ear when ordered. Other charges were dismissed. Counsel for the defence said flint Madame did not realise the strength of local feeling against Buxton's horrible murders, and she struck a had patch there in conducting her propaganda. campaign against capital punishment.
