The treasurer’s report showed that the debit balance on April 1, was £l,500 Os Id. The chairman moved that the amount be reduced to £4,both Mr. H. J. T. Twnbleson seconded the motion. As an amendement, Mm. Beer proposed that the sum be reduced to £4,750. The amendment was seconded by Mr. Bayliss. The amendment was carried and being put as the motion was also carried. Dr. Rice then moved as an /amendment that the amount bo left un- ' changed. Mr. Adair seconded the motion, which was lost. In regard to the suggestion of upIKivtioning the cost of regrading and tar-sealing the hospital roadway it was decided to apportion £llsO to capital and the balance to maintenance. AGREEMENT WITH FRIENDLY SOCIETIES. A lengthy report was presented o! a conference between a special committee of the board. and repi-oscuNa-tives of friendly . societies for: the. purpose of revising the existing agreement. In regard to the attention by < istrict nurses in outlying distrets, it was decided by the board that no change should be made in Hie present system.
