GOLDEN WEDDING

MR. AND MRS. WILLIAM BISHOP The golden jubilee of the wedding of Mr and Mrs William- Bishop was celebrated at their residence, Grey fitreetj. by a family gathering, -those members who could not attend sending appropriate messages. Mr andMrs Bishop were married in Napier on May 19, 1886. They made their first home in Napier, then went on to Auckland, ami came here over 30 years ago. Mr! Bishop has been in regular employment throughout, the whole of his married life, and both enjoy goodi health though over 70 years of! age. There were: twelve children of the marriage, and; with, the exception of a daughter who . died, twelve years ago, all are living, though naturally scattered throughout New Zealand. The sons are: Mr William Bishop, Hastings; My Frank Bishop, Wellington; Mr Norman Bishop. Auckland; Mr James Bishop. Waihi; and Mr Leonard Bishop, Hast in vs. The daughters are: Mrs W. Dayman, Wellington ; Mrs H. O’Donnell. Nelson: Mrs IP Oliver, Napier; Mrs G. Forbes. Gisborne'; Mrs M. Carpendale, Napier; and My W. Selby, Hastings. Two of the sons served with the New Zealand Forces during tlurf Great War, and relumed to be discharged in the Dominion as fly men.
