Berry, secretary of the Congregational Union of England and AVales, announces that the Catholic Church refused to co-operate in the appeal of the Anglican Archbishops of Canterbury and York, who on Friday announced that leaders of Christian communities throughout Europe had agreed immediately to send out to their own peoples, in the interests of peace, an appeal to Christian conscience and loyalty entitled “The Way of Peace. ’’
