The Waipiro Bay tournament, was brought to a conclusion during the week-end, when the championships and the handicap finals were decided. E. A. Hart from Pouawa won four out of six possible matches, scoring in the two singles, and both doubles with W. Smiler. In one combined match Haft defaulted to allow the tournament to finish. He was thus .beaten only once in six games. Miss Plummer adder! to her recent- success in Gisborne by winning both singles. Details of the finals are as follows: Men’s championship singles.—E. A. Ilnrt heat Dr. McKay, 6—‘2, 6—o.
