The anti-cyclone over New Zealand is losing its intensity and a shallow depression is advancing hom the Tasman Sea-
Winds: North-east to north predominating and freshening somewhat over the South Island.
Seas: Slight to moderate
Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate northerly winds and slight to moderate -seas. • :
Weather: Fair at first in mast districts, but cloudy -over the South Island, with drizzling rain in places, and rain .gradually becoming 'more widespread. Temperatures warm.
At Thames on Saturday Mr. Thorn M.P., stated, that the Minister for Public Works was giving Sympathetic consideration to a request for the early construction at Tuhtries of an aerodrome. Mr. Semple' had also undertaken to enquire' into representations for an aerodrome at Whangamata, - the'most southern port’’ On the eastern side of the Coromandel peninsula'', 23 mi lbs nortli-east of Waihi.
