MUCH MARRIED
WEDS SAME WOMAN FIVE TIMES-
Colonel Henri Tallier, a former officer in the French Army, had been married six times—and at five of the weddings his bride has been the same woman! First he married Miss Doris Hayden, member of an Irish family who have been settled in France for two generations. Less than a year afterwards discord arose. Judges tried in vain to unite the.couple, and they were divorced. Shortly afterwards the Colonel married another woman, but this marriage lasted only a few months before it was dissolved. Reconciliation between the Colonel and his first wife followed, and they re-married; but a month or two later divorce parted them again. Then—incredible though it seems—they met again and married again!
That was the third time—but it was not the last. Nearly two.years later there was more trouble between them, followed by another divorce.
And no sooner had that decree been made absolute than—they married again! That was the fourth time.—but still not the last, for another divorce took place, and was followed in turn by another marriage.
Now, says “The People,” after ten years of marrying and divorcing, the couplo are determined to settle down with their two children.
