To arrive at Pamplona in order to serve a sentence of a month’s imprisonment in a fortress for, deserting his post and to hear, four hours later, that he had been appointed Minister of War, was the experience of General Nicolas Molero, who, to-day, was included in • the Cabinet under the Premiership oi S, Manuel Yailadares. The Ministry resigned on December 9 owing to Premier 5.., Chaparieta being unable to persuade his colleagues to support economies to balan.ee the Budget. Four Ministers eithe- failed, or refused, .to form .a Cabinet. They
included 8. Maura, a lio summoned 8. Molero from Valladolid, where he was commanding a division, lo the War Ministry but, when lie reached Madrid,- S. Molero found that 8. Maura laid failed, whreeupon 8/ Gil Robles, who was continuing the War Ministry pending the.appointment of a. successor, ordered Ids. imprisonment. S. Vaiiadarps’s Cabinet, is one mostly of ex-ministers, but excludes patliolies, resulting in S. Gil Robles, leader of the Fascists, the largest parly in the Cortes, ordering all Catholic municipal officers to resign.
