LICENSING; REGULATIONS
iPress Association}. WELLINGTON, July IS. itegulations providing for the licensing of dairy factories were issued in a special Gazette yesterday. Applications for licenses arc to' be made to the Director o,f the Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture, and are to be accompanied by details of existing or proposed buildings or df proposed alterations. The Director of the Dairy Division is empowered to refer applications for license l to a committee of three persons appointed by the Minister of Agriculture. This committee will advise the director on the matter of the advisability and justification for a dairy .factory in the locality concerned, itb prospect of -success and the probable or possible effect of competition from the premises sought to he licensed.
