“LOVE AT SECOND SIGHT
“Love at Second Sight”, opening a season at) the Regent today concerns a pretty girl, Juliet Macintosh the daughter of a millionaire matc-u king, with whom Allan Parsley a voting inventor, has fallen “head over heels” in love—at first; sight. The father is not ap all keen -on his future son-in-law, but finally consents to the engagement, in bonne of which it is decided to hold a celebration dinner. Bnt alas, when that day arrives the prospective bridegroom has to suffer tho indignity and agony of a terrible toothache, end his place at the festive board is filled by his friend! Bill, a- handsome- music composer, who has- ‘silently’ adored the lovely Juliet ever since he discovered her in his flat, clad only in silken undies. During the dinner, Juliet discovers that she has fallen in love again—really in. love this time—at second sight—with Bill. “Papa” Macintosh makes no secret of the fact that lie- is “tickled’ with the likely change in son-in-laws, and the trio set to- work to find ways anc ! means of appeasing Allan. How they eventually succeed with the ai cl of Allan’s laboratory assistant, Evelyn, in ■proving that tile love troubled Allan i s really in love with her and not with Juliet at all, provides the balance of the delights ill this Sparkling entertainment.
