-- GENERAL BOOTH LEAVES AUSTRALIA. EXPECT ATI ONS EX PELTED (U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. Copyright.) (Roc. April 23. 10 p.m.) SYDNEY. April 23. General Evaneeline Booth departed for New Zealand tonight aboard the Wanganolla. In a farewell message, she said:—
‘.The love .with which the people «t Australia have received me, the ready response given to m.v appeals, and the enthusiasm with .which people have risen to high standards of -devotion; and service to the Almighty have far surpassed my expectations. The leaders of the Government have stirred my deep admiration by their devotion .to the cause of the people particularly to the poor of the land. All have done- their - part, including .the PyeSs, to make my visit the unprecedented triumph which it has been. Fa rowel 1 dear Australia, you will ever live ,m my heart.”
