BRTTrSH-ISRAELITES’ STAND. CRITICISM REPLORED. (Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 23. Regret at the attack made upon British-Israel truth by the General. Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand was expressed in a motion carried at th,e sixth annual congress pi the New Zealand Branch of the British-Israel World Federation in Wellington yesterday. The .motion continued: “The congress deplores the inaccurate statements made by certain members of the assembly ,and By the Outlook, the official organ of the Presbyterian Church ,as evidence of ignorance on the .part of the leaders of this great church as to what constitutes the British-Israel truth. “It m-states the fact that the basis of British-Israel truth is a literal acceptance df the Bible from cover to cover, and believing that there ys no firmer foundation for our faith; views with apprehension a suggestion contained in the Outlook of November 2d, .193-1, that because the p.ritis,b-Isr(i,el . tyuth,- so relies upon the liiprai iritpypfqlation of the word of God it cannot be true. “In view of the growing tendency to disregard portions df the Bible, this congress appeals to all Christians to maintain a high standard of faith in the yvhple of (Gfod’s wonderful word, and to encourage that faith in others.”
