(U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. Copyright.) (Received April 19. 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON. April 18. Senator Borah when introducing a Bill prohibiting any new public or private United States loans to foreign Governments except on the .American continent, asserted that any money loaned to Europe was in aid ot war.
The Bill provides a penalty with a maximum line of 500,09-0 dollars and ten years’ imprisonment for any person or firm making a loan, but does not apply to renewals or adjustments of existing indebtedness.
