From “the Winterloss North” comes the story of the chap who thought he’d grow his own tobacco, smoke it, and gave money. First time typ lit up the missus came running’ll] with: “What’s that burning?—smells like old rags or something.” Hubby was annoyed. “Old rags, indeed! I’ll teach her!” he growled. So a few nights later he said to her, “I’ve improved that bacca of mine a lot. You tell me what you think of it now”— and ho lit up again. The missus sniffed—and sniffed. “You never made that bacco, Jimmy,” she declared at last, “because you jolly well couldn’t. Why, it smells lovely!” He had to own up! Tie was smoking toasted New Zealand”—Cut Plug No. 10! The lady was right. “Homemade” can’t compete with “toasted.” Where is the tobacco that can? For purity, fragrance, and flavour it stands alone. It’s so harmless, too. The toasting does it! Five brands only of the genuine toasted—Cut Plug No. 10 (Bullshead), Navy Cut No. 3 (Bulldog),’ Cavendish, Riverhead Gold and Resort Gold.
