’summary and forecast (Press Association), WELLINGTON. April 14. —General Situation — The depression off the East Cape is moving away. An anti-cyclone is still centred cast, ol Otago, while a depression covers the western Tasman. —Forecast — Winds: South to east at first north of Farewell Spit and Ivaikoura, otherwise east to north and freshening. Seas: Rough at first between Cape Campbell and East Capo and in the Cook Strait area ,but moderating; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman: Moderate to fresh north-east to, northerly winds, moderate seas. Weather: Some rain still probable in parts of the East Coast of the North Island especially between Hawke's Bay and the East Cape; elsewhere fine. Temperatures becoming milder.
