A REVISED OPINION
UNI VERSE MAY BE INFINITE PITTSBURG, March S. The universe may be infinite, alter all. This statement was made by Professor Albert Einstein.,, in a paper read before a, meeting of scientists to-day. By making this declaration Professor Einstein upset one of the ideas which have been generally, accepted during the past decade on the basis of bis own relativity tiicory—namely, that ispace is limited or finite. At the same time, Professor Einstein expressed disagreement with those physicists who believe that the law of cause and effect lias beep found wanting and unworkable. While, lie said the atomic laws were being formulated in a fashion which made no use of cause and effect, he predicted that physicists eventually return to its use.
