Wallace Beery is ideally suited to the role of tho ereat Bariuun, the guiding genius of the historic show company and his lUterpretation is consistency brilliant-. Virginia. Bruce brings beauty and artistry to the part of Jenny Lind., and sings superbly, wlnle Janet Beecher a.‘V Nahow Rarnum is a delightful character. The strength of the supporting roles is maintained by the performances of such players as Rochell'o Hudson, May Boley. who appears as the boarded woman, and Johnnie ITyams, who makes a humorously convincing figure of the rather roguish Skiff. Two midgets:, George and Clive Brasinv appear with ex cel lent effect as •Gen'cr.al’ Tom .Thumb and his wife. Variety is the keynote of tho supporting programme, which maintains the standard of tho principal film. Especially notable are “Girl Trouble.” a, cri cured musical feature tie. and ‘Something' About a Sailor” and a Betty Bbfip cartoon.
